Burnout is often the result of old programming. Patterns we didn’t choose.
Patterns we didn’t even know we had.

Let me explain.

The Programming We All Carry

From the last trimester of pregnancy until around age 7, our brains are in a highly suggestible state. Science calls it the “theta” state. It’s the same brainwave state as hypnosis.

What does that mean?
It means we absorb everything around us—without filters. Every word. Every emotion. Every belief.

Even the things our mothers experienced before we were born get stored in us. And it all goes deep into the subconscious, becoming the blueprint for how we show up in life.

Dr. Bruce Lipton calls it our “motherboard.” It’s the original programming of how we operate.

If your early life was full of stress, trauma, or constant pressure to be “good” or “successful,” that programming can turn into:

  • Overachievement
  • Perfectionism
  • The need to control everything
  • The inability to rest
  • Chronic stress and burnout

And you won’t even know it’s running the show.

You Can’t Fix Subconscious Problems with Conscious Solutions

Most of us try to “push through.” We set New Year’s resolutions. We tell ourselves we’ll work less, take breaks, practice self-care.

But here’s the problem: Willpower is only 5% of your mind.

Your subconscious is the other 95%.

Trying to change your life without addressing the subconscious is like putting a Band-Aid on a broken bone.

Why Hypnotherapy Works

Hypnotherapy is a way to access your subconscious—the 95%—and rewrite the old programming.

It’s not mind control. You’re not unconscious or “under” anyone’s power.

It’s a gentle process that opens a conversation with your subconscious mind.

And here’s the cool part: Your subconscious already knows what needs to change. It knows the old programs that aren’t serving you anymore. Hypnotherapy just helps you upgrade them.

Think of it as switching out old, outdated software for something that works for who you are now.

Healing Doesn’t Have to Hurt

You don’t have to relive old traumas or talk through painful memories to heal.

Hypnotherapy can be subtle, kind, and incredibly effective.

Andrea Ramírez, a hypnotherapist I spoke with on my podcast, shared how clients often don’t even realize how much they’ve changed—until friends or family point it out.

  • They feel lighter.
  • They’re calmer.
  • Their reactions shift.
  • The triggers lose their grip.

And in many cases, those shifts happen in just a few sessions.

But you can take those bricks down—when you work with the part of yourself that put them there in the first place.
